The Changes That Occur To Our Liver Do To Smoking, High Alcohol Intake and Infections.

The picture above  shows human liver in the normal form and when it is bathed with smoke as do occur to smokers.  (Left=Normal and Right =Smoked bathed liver).  It will do us good to note earlier in life how important our heart is to us, a healthy individual has it all even when you do not have money or investments.

As smokes passes through our air-ways;nose and mouth (external)  and moves down to the internal air-ways through the trachea to heat our lungs. The lungs is made of Gas Exchange Section which includes Bronchioles, Alveolar Ducts and Aveoli. These sections help bring about exchange of gas (smoke included)  across the body from where the get to the liver . The liver being the Chief organizer of all the products that enters the body is then affected by the smoke ,though smoke does not directly affect the liver functions but the chemicals present which makes up smoke (CO) increases the oxidative stress to the liver causing heavy damage to the liver cells.

The liver widely known as the largest organ in the body has thousands of functions including digestion, metabolism, nutrients organization, storage, removal of toxins (body west products) and more. When the liver cells are affected, the liver looses it's functions and the above listed livers functions will be hampered and the body becomes vulnerable to infections ;Hepatitis,Tuberculosis and more .

The colour of the affected liver (Right  Above ) is as a result of the liver loosing it's functions due to  toxic chemicals it is being exposed to from time to time, other of such intoxications which can adversely affect the liver include Alcohols, Obesity, Diabetes, High Salt intake ,Over use of medications, Nutrition Supplements and more.

Smokes not only from Cigarettes but also from car exhaust, generator etc can also affect the lungs through which it passes to the liver by paralysing the soft cilia lining the inner walls of the lungs and results in overproduction of mucous. When the cilia becomes weak, mucous are produced more leading to respiratory imbalance resulting in Asthma and cancer tend to follow. While the liver and other parts of the body may recover after a while of medications and abstinence, the lungs may not recover.

Other smoke related problems to human include; Cancer of the skin, Ectopic pregnancy (Pregnant outside the womb),  Poor Erection in Men, Poor vision and  more. Some signs and symptoms of liver failure include Loss of Appetite, Nausea and vomiting, Discoloration of the Eye,  Dark Urine, Abdominal Pain, Swelling of The Feet , etc. When any of this sign and symptoms are noticed, consult your doctor for treatment. Do no treat yourself nor go to "CHEMIST "shops around to buy drugs.
