Generally, it is becoming something of regularity for youths to feel lost when things are not going their way, it actually involves other groups; children or elderly but I chose to discuss youths because they are mostly affected section. 

 Self esteem in a simple term is the act to have self belief on one's ability or abilities, it comes unawares but must be built before it sets in. It should not be new to you to hear that the first step to success in life is believing in yourself and what you can do (self esteem). Self esteem does not include being hyper-active in doing or handling things as this could in turn be termed stupid.

 Lost of self esteem has before now believed to be issues affecting the western world solely, but it will be cool to accept it is never the western world problems only as many African decents (Men, Women, Old and Young) has,have and still suffers low self esteem. Self esteem, also can be termed "depression " is a thing of the mind and brain which is driven by visual articulation. Who is depressed,very difficult to answer, yet depression happens every now and then in our lives. A depressed individual is one who lacks controls over his or her abilities and would never have any of his or her decision making right at any point.

 Why are we depressed and why does it seem high in youths than other classes.Using myself as an example, I got depressed when I find it hard to achieve what others had achieved at ease; when I have to go through double of what others went through to achieve a set goal. Everybody has his or her own reasons why they get depressed, but in all, one thing is for sure - " it is as a result of what you see and believed in" .The mind set of human are vast and houses greater percentage of all we can achieve in life outside Gods'  doing, therefore,we have  to structure our mind set to at least start  with dealing with the ghost self - Self Esteem.

 Like me, majority of depression cases are as a result of the case I mentioned above, with little or no alterations to it depending on personal differences. The fact remains that depression is part of human nature and man must have to deal with it whether we like it or yes. As was narrated earlier above, we get depressed due to what we assume or believe on thereby sending wrong impulse to our brain  and the whole thing crumbles up. Have you taken out time to really analyze why you get depressed, you would not care for such, all you would want to think about at that moment is "am sad" .It is very important to look into the reasons why we fall victim of the ghost self - depression. It is very simple to get out of depression if you have taken your time out to know that the depression state of mind was caused by you and could be stopped by you at ease.

 Look at it this way; you went for an interview and you did not make it for the job and you comes home every other day to be depressed. Who then will prepare you for the next job interview which probably might be the perfect job for you, from which you you be employed, nobody and practically nobody but only you. This is applicable to other forms or reasons why we get depressed, always believe that all forms of failure is the beginning of success and then you follow it up with strong effort and most importantly with constructive mind of success.

Other ways through which you can handle depression may include :

  1. Drawing inspiration from successful people around you.

  2.  Associating with people who you know are smart in thinking so that they help you develop smart ideas to each issue you face.

  3.  Read inspirational books, and watch inspirational movies.  
  4. Always believe it was not by mistake that you made it to the level you are today and with that in mind, you will have the sense of belonging that you can still achieve more if you remain strong.
