Cristiano Ronaldo Wins FIFA Best Players Award For 2016

  Cristiano Ronaldo has been crowned FIFA Best player for the 2016 football season, he won the honour ahead of Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann in the annual FIFA gala awards in Zurich Switzerland.

The Portugal and Real Madrid super star had his best season of his carrier in  2016 where he won the Champions League and European Nations Cup and went ahead to lift the super Cup and world club Championship with Real Madrid. In his speech, he says "it's a great feeling, as i mentioned many times......Last was  a dream year,  no doubt about that " the striker was indeed excited about it all.

 He went on to thank his team mates both in Madrid and Portugal for helping him achieve such feat, Ronaldo scored  59 goals for both club and country over the last 12 months which includes the wining penalty in the Champions League final against Madrid rivalry Atletico Madrid at San Siro Italy.

In December, he was awarded his fourth Ballon d'Or  ,and  won the champions league highest goal scorer award before now. Indeed it has been a wonderful year for him and we all wish him well and look forward to see if he continues in top form in years to come as he promised his fans.
