Election Norms......How We Can Get it Right
Election all over the world remains the same as it involves electing the peoples' choice in while the unfavoured candidate losses out.Nigeria has not being an exception in trying to achieve such feet like evry other country does.The problem with Nigeria is that they have refused to grow when others do. No election will claim free of abnormalities and
irregularities,even the concluded US election. But how then has US election of present and past be rated class, of which same you can say of other top and even average European countries.Can you bring Africa into such bracket ? I suppose no. Ok ! if any African country should come in,which will one have to freely look up to for selection,difficult i guess. What about our dear beloved Nigeria....? Harder to analyze!
The European elites in present day elections are of class apart to compare that of Africans,one can not rule out the fact that they also have short comings but of minimal or perhaps traced count. Nothing on earth is perfect and no one should attempt drowning humanity nor anything which human control closer to perfection.Puzzle still, how in the taught of human has we rate the Europeans deeds best and perfect in quote, when they also have their own brand of problems,could it be because they are light skinned, civilized than Africans, are from different location on the earth surface, better skilled nor something am yet to mention here ? It may more or less be any of the above listed " excuses" which has no base. For real, the answer is "No"! One simple truth is that they were,had,has,have and will remain better and perfection-close; organizational wise whereby little or no visible flow is noticed among them, but they actually do have flows within though minimal.
A good case of such was seen evidently, were some of the charges filled up against Hillary Clinton about her "Email" sometime in the past and that of Trump about abuse of women was thrown off, not to forget the ballot box malpractices that were noticed in some areas within via same US election, which Trump eventually won.More to it was the rigging case which surfaces after the election, and sounds more like "rigged " indeed since as of midnight of the day the final result were released, Hillary Clinton maintained her lead only for the out come of the final result to proov otherwise. These are but few we could note, more may remain hidden in that all were handled as soon as they occur with great care. This shows that part where Africans are lagging.
Nigeria in this case is yet to start election proper, hitherto, her election type is termed selection by her citizens.I beg my readers to accept my usage of words as thus above, this in my opinion is how i can classify Nigeria election at the moment but a change to good can help qualify Nigeria stands in the world of Electioneering norms.
Does Nigeria really need to push up to at least where others are and may aspire to move further like the elites has done ? Yes i think so, but it has to be on wish bases.It is only when Nigeria and her citizens choses to step up in the right direction with great efforts, that is the only way they can move up the ladder.
How can Nigeria move forward concerning election and election problems, it is simple and simple indeed. The "change" starts with me campaign" of President Buhari remains a focal point from my view irrespective of the fact that his administration has not gone well so far with the masses, still i will implore Nigerias to embrace his concept regarding the way out, but the big problem remains "who will start it first", the people at the top nor the poor masses ?, I don't really know,but i think change should start from the top and flow down to embrace people low in the chain and therein stabilization will need to follow suit.
With real change in Nigeria,from the top to bottom,Nigeria will get to her desired level and
elections as well as other things will get moving well, the adverse recession the had rooted Nigerians is as a resultd of poor to bad election pattern which always produce bad leaders who will not care about the welfare of the citizens. Nigerians in general need join hands together to spread the change start with me campaign of President Buhari administration,by so doing,we will all be happy as a nation.God bless Nigeria !!
