When other coaches has come saw, some conquered while others did not conquer, Mikel has remained at Chelsea.As the second most stayed prayer in the club at the moment, Mikel deserves some respect by the present Chelsea coach. Giving Mikel some minutes of playing time would have shown some respect that a player of Mikel's caliber would deserve.
Anthonio Conte not playing Mikel so far in Chelsea's matches is something of strange to everyone, with Mikel's form coming back from the Olympics where he won her countries only medal shows Mikel is ready to play and is in the right frame of mind to play, why Conte is not looking his way remains something of surprise. In the qualifier against Algeria, he scored a goal which from my view point means telling Conte "I am ever ready to continue from my Olympics exploits " yet Conte ceases to look his way.
Under Mourinho last season, Chelsea's whole team were mess and did not look like champions, then comes Hiddink who replaced under fire mourinho and once again Chelsea were on tract ,the threat of relegation was averted. Hiddink did try off so many experiment so as to remain the "Messiah that have worked for Chelsea then and now, some of those experiments include trying out players at different positions to know who suits his style of play. He started with Matic, but Matic did not deliver and then he reverted to Mikel at the base of midfield after which her (Chelsea's) fortune was changed.
Conte not playing Mikel may not be a problem for Conte since his team has been winning with ease even without Mikel's services, he has the best of holding midfielder in Kante, Kante is a robot in the field of play...he has the energy,more mobile as the only quality the keeps him ahead of Mikel ,also one would add tackle and ball winning rate. You would not forget in a hurry that Mikel boost of better pass accuracy and tidiness in play. What about the rebirth Matic, Matic at the end of last season was at the verge of leaving Chelsea but now a strong first team starter under Conte. Even the mercurial Fabrigas has not find it easy under Conte, Oscar have to leave to save his carrier and rumour carries it that Fabrigas will do same.
Where does Mikel future lie? At Chelsea.....? No! Mikel has to move on to better his carrier, having spent 10 years at Chelsea and have won all the available things a player would want to win in his carrier at Chelsea, I thing it's time he moves on. Having succided under all the coaches at Chelsea shows he's good, then comes Conte whom he possibly will not survive under, it is best he finds his way to another club and test what football is like outside Chelsea. He has to act fast about it to save his international carrier and have his club carrier back good.
Mikel have got the best of attitude bavahior wise and is willing to play, so he need to go to a place where he will get his dream and passion to play football back. Before Mikel left for Olympics, he explained to Conte why he has to go and Conte accepted, meaning that not playing Mikel has nothing to do with being stubborn but purely on a personal and perhaps Footballing terms. Mikel should move on and allow other players to play for Chelsea.
