ATM Drama As Woman in Mid 60's Refuse To Allow Others Withdraw Money




     Friday 30th of December  was another of how strong
orientation,believe,faith and fate can play a big
role in people's way of life.I was in a queue waiting
to withdraw money from a Diamond Bank by
Market Road Holy Ghost  junction Enugu(long queue
indeed).

Ladies and gentle men in the queue were
withdrawing their money freely on the bases of
"who comes first stands ahead in the queue and
will withdraw first".Happily people were
withdrawing their money up to a point when it
gets to a particular woman's turn;she's on her
60's i guess,fair,brief in height and speaks the
concentrated version of her language,Stil she's
fully trusted in her personality.Heavy sunny day
as it were,hitherto a very long queue also,this
women went to withdraw but could not operate
the ATM(note among 3 ATMs' present,only one
had servise while others were out of servise or
perhaps out of money.....who knows! )

She called a lady next to her for assistance but
only to tell this lady to turn face the queue for her
to type in her pin;after which she ask the lady
turn over to assist her withdraw #10,000,on
receiving the cash she refuses to go out,saying
that her son told her to leave the ATM machine
only when she got alert of the money she
withdrew.On a serious scenario,she kept standing
akimbo in front of the ATM waiting for alert.U
wouldn't believe it,we stood for about 15 mins
before her alert came in,then she demanded she
want to withdraw another #10,000 again,cuo......
..the whole steps has to be watched happen over
again...starting wth the lady facing the queue and
at the end.....her alert refuses to come in this
time and this very woman ceased to allow others
withdraw money and was ready to fight,claiming
that her withdrawal will only be complete when
she receive alert from the bank.It took the help of
the security personnels and eventually coming in
of her alert to remedize the situation after about
45mins or more of struggle.

What an experience,please if you were in that
queue,what would you have done to have this
woman in her full self believe stand aside for
other to franchise their withdrawal right,would you step
 over to walk her out or yell at her to  stay off  the ATM for
other to withdraw their money.

The best solution remains to convince her about how network
  could be th problem of her not receiving alert at the moment ,
 further to her  that before she gets home or while at home her alert
 will come up,i mean treating her the way you would tread your beloved
 Mother when she's of ignorance of any idea.Happy i were that the
 bank security personnels did explain to her and eventually she left.
